On Thursday, June 19, 2025, in the third and final qualifying round of the Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Associations (CONCACAF) Gold Cup, our Grenadiers faced the Trinidad & Tobago Soca Warriors on the field of the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

To begin the match against Trinidad & Tobago, French coach Sébastien Migné made a single adjustment compared to the team that played against Saudi Arabia last Sunday. Ruben Providence replaces Christopher Atys.

Summary :

In their second outing in the 2025 Gold Cup, Haiti drew 1-1 against Trinidad & Tobago, after a match marked by constant commitment and clear Haitian dominance in the first half.

The Grenadiers had to deal with the dismissal of Jean-Kévin Augustin in the 40th minute, forcing Sébastien Migné to reorganize his defense by replacing Duckens Nazon with Kevin Métusala to solidify the defense. The score was 0-0 at halftime, despite Haiti's superiority.

After the break, the Grenadiers opened the scoring in the 49th minute, thanks to a goal from Frantzdy Pierrot with a right-footed shot that beat Marvin Phillip. Louicius Don Deedson provided an assist from the edge of the penalty area.

Trinidad & Tobago equalized in the 68th minute [1-1] thanks to a Justin Garcia header in the box that beat Placide, who turned in a Kevin Molin free kick.

Haiti could have regained the lead late in the match, but Mondy Prunier missed a penalty won by Wilguens Paugain in the 86th minute, sending the ball over the bar.

Haiti also had a Pierrot goal ruled out for a borderline offside error and a penalty awarded and then overturned in the first half : refereeing decisions that undoubtedly played a part in the outcome of the match.

A disappointing match for Haiti, who must face the United States almost for fun, as their chances of qualifying for the second round are estimated at less than 20%.
